This condition is necessitated to dissuade a recent tendency of building a self-serving narrative on public platforms- Justice Surya Kant held that the arrest of by CBI does not suffer with any procedural infirmity and therefore dismissed the appeal challenging the legality of arrest- But Justice Ujjal Bhuyan clearly held that belated arrest by CBI is unjustified and therefore clarified the impugned judgment to that extent- However, the operative order signed by both judges says that the Criminal Appeal challenging the legality of arrest is dismissed.
